The mission of the American Society of Professional Graphologists is to promote an understanding and appreciation of the art and science of handwriting analysis in accordance with the highest standards. Through conferences, teaching seminars, research, and publications, The American Society of Professional Graphologists encourages further development and appreciation of graphology. ASPG strives to spur increasing awareness of and interest in handwriting analysis for both the general public and practicing graphologists who wish to keep abreast of this field.

What is Graphology? In short, it is the study of handwriting and what it reveals about personality. Handwriting is a three dimensional trail of movement. Handwriting analysis uncovers the individuality and psychological patterns of the writer. Graphologists, or handwriting analysts, are trained to evaluate personality characteristics in handwriting, including motivation, thinking patterns, as well as behavioral and emotional factors — more than most people realize.
